I started out as a chemist (BS), went into chemical engineering (MS), and so far, have ended up as a registered mechanical engineer (PE).   I've been a science fiction and history and mystery reader for as long as I can remember reading adult books - roughly 35 years and counting.   I build models for a hobby - trains are my favorite, although the layouts and trackwork take more time and effort to complete than I've managed lately.   So, I'm one of the dedicated train-nuts on the bar, and a furnace/steel industry/cement plant resource.
