I'm a 28 year-old Kiwi living in Christchurch, New Zealand, working as a business analyst/SAS programmer for Telecom New Zealand (NZ's largest company).  Until the end of 2003 I was an economist for Statistics NZ (the NZ equivalent of the US Bureau of Economic Analysis & Bureau of the Census).

I'm generally a lurker on the bar, just putting in the odd comment when I have time (there's not a lot of the week left after working & playing (or at least trying to play) cricket, indoor netball, touch rugby & indoor soccer).

I've been a bookworm ever since I learnt to read, & fell in love with SF when I got to High School & found the library there had a big Heinlein collection
