I am new to the Bar, having only first posted a week or so ago. I have been lurking for about a year.

I live in Albuquerque, New Mexico and have (mostly) since high school or so. I have a JD and law license but work for the federal courts. My recreation time is largely devoted to hunting, fishing, and occasionally backpacking or shooting competitively.

I was introduced at to science fiction at age 8 when Boy's Live magazine re-ran a serialization of Heinlein's "Between Planets", which led to the school libraries' other Heinlein juveniles, then Asimov, then the usual addiction. I found the Baen page when looking for a Lois McMaster Bujold fan site and then started reading the Bar, especially this conference, for all the interesting discussions of obscure technical and historical things.
