The Community Building as seen from the baseball field. Behind the camera is the fairgrounds and to the left of the camera is Buffalo Creek with the road between downtown and the fairgrounds on the other side. It's a WPA project, built of local materials. Unfortunately, the sandstone they decided to use isn't suitable for this type of facing usage and has several noticable cracks on all four sides. Two sides are so bad, they had to close up the arch ways directly under them to reinforce the building. The building itself is supported with steel I beams. Very solid.
